About this policy

Behavior Empowerment Consultation ("we," "us," or "our") respects the privacy of the families and educators we work with. This policy explains what information we collect through our website (behaviorempowermentconsultation.org), how we use it, and the choices you have.

We are a Long Island, New York–based consulting practice owned and operated by Nicolette Cirola, LBA, BCBA. We provide parent training, school consultation, and professional development services rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis.

This policy applies only to information collected through our website and our scheduling system. Information we collect during the course of professional services (such as session notes or school consultation records) is governed separately by our service agreement and applicable professional and educational privacy laws.

What we collect

Information you give us when scheduling an appointment. When you book a session through our online scheduling page, you provide your name, email address, phone number, and any details you choose to share in the notes field. The scheduling system is provided by Microsoft through Microsoft Bookings, and your appointment information is stored in Microsoft 365.

Information you give us when contacting us directly. If you call or email us, we receive whatever information you choose to share, including your contact details and the contents of your message.

Information your browser sends automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider receives standard technical information when you visit, including your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and the date and time of your visit. This information is used to keep the site running and secure. We do not use it to build profiles of individual visitors.

Information about your child. We do not collect information about children directly through this website. The website is intended for adults — parents, caregivers, educators, and school administrators. If you choose to share information about your child while booking or contacting us (for example, in a notes field describing what you'd like help with), that information is treated with the same care as all other information you share with us.
